Moscatelli Pickles differ substantially from the well-known gherkins or cornichons: they have a milder flavour, a light colour, and a much larger size. They are grown mainly in the provinces of Bergamo and Brescia and are harvested from the second half of July to the middle of August. Louit Frères prepares them according to a delicious recipe in which they are flavoured with onions, herbs, and spices.
